Data Capture by Digital Pen during Disaster Triage
The use of digital pens that record disaster patient triage data and uplink the data to a computer database for use at each hospital is being evaluated. The digital pen offers an opportunity to expand data collection, prevent redundant reporting, prevent form loss and digitize records while still retaining use of paper forms. This amounts to an unobtrusive solutions requiring little to no training that is immediately deployable in almost any situation.
